Cigarette butts blight beauty spot

One of Shropshire's most revered beauty spots is being blighted by cigarette butts now the smoking ban is in full force, it has been claimed.

Traders have taken it upon themselves to sweep up the influx of cigarette ends which are being dropped in Church Stretton.

District councillor Dr Charles West is now urging residents to think of quitting to save local traders from the task and keep the town in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty looking picturesque.
