Former Home secretary, David Blunkett, warned today of a "catastrophic meltdown of trust in politics." He is right. Many people I talk to in Shrewsbury and Atcham are fed up of politicians. We have had a whole series of stories about MPs abusing expenses.

But what about their salaries?

MPs are paid to do a job, and paid quite well, but some of them have another job, or several other jobs.

Yesterday MPs vote 305 to 31 that they should come clean about their second jobs. Until now they could keep it secret as to whether they had other jobs.

Yesterday MPs vote 305 to 31 that they should come clean about their second jobs. They will now have to declare any additional jobs they have as well as being an MP. But Shrewsbury's Conservative MP Daniel Kawczynski voted against this. Why? What does he think MPs have to hide?
