Shrewsbury Lib Dems to meet Chair of MPs

Shrewsbury Liberal Democrats will hold a meeting this week with Lorely Burt MP for Solihul.

Lorely Burt is chair of the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Party, has championed the cause of small businesses and is currently campaigning against the disappearance of the humble cheque, which is so valued by small businesses, clubs and charities.

Local Liberal Democrats will be interested to hear about life within the coalition and are expected to express strong views on the government's plans on benefits and student tuition fees.
