Shrewsbury Sixth Form College announced today the results of their mock elections. Liberal Democrats came in first place.

Dr Charles West, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Shrewsbury said "This is an excellent result for the Liberal Democrats, for Shrewsbury and for Young People. The students asked some clear and penetrating questions. It is good to see Young People showing such an interest in politics and we are, of course delighted that they recognised in Liberal Democrat policies the way to make Britain a Fairer, Safer and Greener Country. I enjoyed my session at the College, and I pay tribute to Liam Taylor my running mate who took questions at the student version of the hustings."

Shrewsbury Sixth Form College held mock elections with hustings held on two consecutive weeks. At the first session Students represented each of the parties and took questions from fellow students. At the second session Parliamentary Candidates from Liberal Democrat Labour, Green and Conservative parties were present, made a brief presentation and took questions.
